Programs for every stage of development
Venice FC Miami organizes players into age-appropriate groups so that every stage of development gets the environment it needs. While specific team structures can vary from season to season, our programs follow a consistent pathway shaped by the club's game model and philosophy.
Foundation ages
For our youngest players, the priorities are simple: love the ball, love the game, and build coordination and confidence. Sessions are playful and activity-rich, with lots of touches, small-sided games, and encouragement to try things without fear of mistakes. Winning matters far less at this stage than learning and enjoyment.
Development ages
As players move into the middle years of youth soccer, training becomes more structured. Technical work continues, and we begin layering in the tactical ideas of our game model: positioning, support angles, pressing triggers, and decision-making in realistic game situations. Players start to understand not just how to execute a skill but when and why.
Competitive ages
Older age groups train and compete in a more demanding environment. The tactical, physical, and mental objectives increase, and players are expected to take real responsibility for their own standards, preparation, and behavior. The goal is to prepare players for the highest level they can personally reach, whether that is competitive club soccer, high school and college programs, or beyond.
What every program shares
- The same game model and footballing language across all ages.
- Qualified coaching staff working to a club-wide methodology.
- An emphasis on character, respect, and a family atmosphere.
- A clear pathway from the foundation ages to the competitive teams.
Because rosters and age-group offerings are confirmed ahead of each season, the best way to find the right fit for your player is to attend a tryout or contact the club directly. See the tryouts page for how evaluations work, or send us a message through the contact page.
